Ukulele Club
Our FREE ukulele 12 week programme at Eastfield Development Centre for 8-12 year olds who want to learn how to play!

This project is funded by Eilidh's Trust. Taking part in workshops is free for all participants.
Who was Eilidh?
Eilidh was a typical 14-year-old growing up in a small tight-knit community on the Isle of Barra in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides. Studying, time with friends and her love of music filled her time.
She was fun to be around and she had so much time for those she cared about. Family and friends were a big part of her short life.

A major part of Eilidh’s life was her love of music. She was a huge fan of American singer Ariana Grande – the artist she went to see at Manchester Arena in May 2017 where she sadly died along with 21 others in the attack on the venue.

Eilidh was a keen bagpiper and was developing into a talented musician. She played in the local pipe band, often travelling and competing with them. Making music was something very special for Eilidh, giving her a confidence that other pastimes hadn’t quite achieved.

We are very grateful for Eilidh's Trust providing us with £700 of funding to bring free opportunities for children to learn and engage with music in their local communities.
